The United States District Court for the District of Arizona (in case citations, D. Ariz.) is a federal court in the Ninth Circuit (except for patent claims and claims against the U.S. government under the Tucker Act, which are appealed to the Federal Circuit). Magistrate courts, established to hear violations on federal lands, are additionally located in Grand Canyon National Park, Kingman, and Page. Phoenix Division comprises the following counties: Gila, La Paz, Maricopa, Pinal, and Yuma. Prescott Division comprises the following counties: Apache, Conconino, Mohave, Navajo, and Yavapai.
